Last Saturday the golf park invited Gut Hühnerhof to his traditional season-end tournament, the “President's Prize”. As if you had ordered it, the weather was at its best, so the golfing conditions couldn't have been better.

Little by little, the almost 120 players met on the driving range in the morning, where Golfpark President Walter Hecker, together with his sons Tobias and Michael (headgreenkeeper & club manager) and captain Anton Mulijon, greeted everyone present .

The tournament, which was played in the mode of a Chapman foursome in teams of two, began punctually at 11.00 a.m. with a cannon start and a great atmosphere.

After playing the 18 holes, the score cards were first handed in to the clubhouse before the players freshened up for the subsequent evening event in the large event room of the Heckers restaurant. After the first drinks were served, Michael Hecker, together with his father, as well as his sister Susanne and mother Irmgard, once again welcomed all the guests of the evening.
Traditionally, the family invites all members and their companions to dinner together at the end of the season to thank them for their loyalty and support throughout the season. For this purpose, every year a special delicacy is served in the form of kettle meat, which is cooked over fire in a large kettle on site. There was also hearty bacon sauerkraut, bread and salt. The whole thing was served in the open air with a beautiful sunset. After all the guests had been fed, the award ceremony should finally begin.

In addition to the award ceremony for the day's tournament, the winners of the annual match play, monthly cup and 9-hole tour series were also honored on this evening.

Peter Hofmann was able to secure victory in the men's match play 2019. In the women's field, Yvette Keller led the field.
The monthly cup was played over a total of 5 tournaments, but only the 4 best results (gross and net) were taken into account in the evaluation. Michél Hofmann led the men's gross score with 96 gross points. Isabella Urban won the women's annual standings with 76 gross points. In the net ranking, Albrecht Pfaff led the way with a great 152 points. Cosima Stecho (128 points) accepted the trophy for the best women's net result.
The large 9-hole tour series, on the other hand, was held over 10 tournaments, of which the 7 best results were included in the rating. Overall, Roland Zinn won with a large margin of 22 points and an overall result of 62 points. In the net evaluation, however, two prizes were awarded, which Harald Schmück (158 points) and Frank Uhlemann (145 points) could be happy about. The three winners can look forward to a golf package including overnight accommodation, breakfast and a 3-course menu at the Bitscher Golf Club in France.

The daily tournament "President's Prize" was rated in three net classes plus an overall net winner pair. In the third net class, the couple Regina and Kurt Schneider achieved third place with 42 points. The father-son duo Rolf and Klaus Heilmann achieved second place with 47 points. Jens and Simone Wegner led the third net class with 48 points.
In the second net class, Walter Sawady and Patrick Wolf achieved third place with 39 points. Team Simone Henzel and Erhard Tschorn secured second place with 41 points. In the second net class, Benedikt Reimer from the Wittenbeck golf resort and the golf park won Gut Hühnerhof-Member Holger Günther with 42 points.
Yvette Keller and her play partner Manfred Fingerhut secured third place in the first net class with 40 points. One point ahead of Michael Landscheidt and Hans Wittenberg landed in second place. The first place was achieved by the siblings Michél and Peter Hofmann with 43 points.

Team Tino Schikor - Maximilian Väth with the best daily result of an outstanding 49 points won the overall victory, the victory in the first net class and thus the big challenge cup.

Finally, Walter Hecker once again addressed all those present and once again warmly congratulated all the winners. He also thanked the whole team around the golf park and restaurant and his family once again for the successful 2019 season. Together, those present then celebrated the winners and left the evening with nice conversations and one or two drinks in a cozy atmosphere to end.
