According to the motto “What must it have to!”, Our greenkeepers re-foiled the pond of fairway 9 on our 9-hole course last week because it had a leak. ?
In addition, there were new practice balls for the driving range of the 9-hole course just in time for the beginning of autumn. Nothing stands in the way of training for the preparation for the season in the winter months! ? ️‍♂️?

We are incredibly proud and, above all, very grateful for our three placements, two of them for the hotel Gut Hühnerhof and one for that Heckers - restaurant, café, bar!
Our placements:
2nd place on the podium ??? 6th place in the exam category in the seminar & 9th place as an event location for Heckers - restaurant, café, bar ?.
Thank you to all guests who voted for us.
Special thanks to our team. This is only possible with you?

An exciting and successful golf year 2019 for the AK30 women is behind us. Crowned with promotion to the 2. Hessenliga Süd!

It was a year full of freak weather, but we weren't put off by the extreme cold with persistent rain or by high temperatures and we always did our best.

The first game in Großzimmer was won home with 5 points. In the second game at Lufthansa in Gernsheim, 1st place was also won and another 5 points went to the Hühnerhof. The third game in our neighboring club Jossgrund ended with a very good 2nd place. The home game on Hühnerhof was won confidently and another 5 points went to the Hühnerhof. With that our promotion to the 2nd league was done ahead of schedule. The last game in Wiesbaden, unfortunately again in the cold and rain, was purely a matter of form for all teams, as both the promotion team and the relegation team had already been determined.

Another successful year with a renewed rise is now coming to an end for us. We trained a lot, but above all we laughed a lot and always gave each other courage and joy. The renewed promotion is thanks to the great team spirit, the fun playing together, the very good round results and, last but not least, our coaches Fabian, Peter and Markus.

The 1st place and thus also the safe early promotion in front of a home crowd were our absolute highlight this season.

We would like to thank our loyal caddies, all helpers, our families for their support and the Hecker family for their support and look forward to another exciting golf year in 2020!

Regardless of the department in which help is needed, they are there for each other. And that cannot be taken for granted!
The pearls from housekeeping need help? No problem, our professionals from reception or service won't let anyone down and quickly swing duvets through the air. The conference guests all come to the coffee break at once and the service can't do it alone? Then quickly jump ours Ladies from the conference office.

And so everyone is there for each other, regardless of the department in which you are actually a professional.
Because in the end the guest counts, and everyone wants to make them happy

And so now is the time to say thank you.

We look forward to our future adventure golfers! ? ️‍♀️

Our largest construction project this year, which has been since the construction of our Heckers - restaurant, café, bar was planned, is coming to an end!

Hard work, both from our planning team, our guys on the construction site, and all the companies involved, over the course of weeks. ? Regardless of whether it is almost 40 degrees and sunshine or cool 10 degrees and drizzle. Now only a few details are missing before we start our adventureOfficially open the golf course! ??

As always, we are very proud of our team, but at the same time we are surprised at what we can achieve together. Our construction projects in particular show us very impressively the development that our family and the Gut Hühnerhof has gone through with all of its establishments since the 80s.
In doing so, they make us humble and grateful again and again. ??

The great course maintenance was on the plan!

But what are our greenkeepers actually doing there? ?

During the golf season, the greens and the tees in particular are exposed to high loads from golfing, constant mowing and the various weather conditions. The soil compacts, weakening the plants and making them susceptible to disease. ??

In order to supply the roots with oxygen again, the ground is perforated and finger-width cutouts are made. In the second step, these are collected with the help of a machine.
The greens and tees are finally covered with a layer of sand and this in turn is swept into the holes. In this way, the water will penetrate the soil more easily in the future and the plant can better absorb the nutrients. ?☺️?

Our greenkeeper team is just great and managed to work on our entire golf park in just 2 days! Thank you guys! ??
We also thank our members and guests for their understanding and consideration over the past two days! ?

In addition to its idyllic atmosphere, our comfortably landscaped estate offers numerous shady spots that allow our guests to spontaneously move their meetings outside. ??

Especially on very warm days with sunshine, the view of the surrounding green is sometimes too tempting to want to spend the whole day inside. ??

The conference participants can spontaneously move their chairs and other utensils outside in our cozy inner courtyard in order to continue working there and to create new ideas.?

Alternatively, our event team prepares the conferences directly outside with our comfortable lounge furniture by prior arrangement! ?

We are looking forward to the golden autumn and your inquiries! ??

The club championships of our golf park took place last weekend Gut Hühnerhof instead of. The youngsters completed 18 holes, the seniors 36 holes and the women and men even 54 holes!

After the first qualifying rounds on Saturday, the youngsters took to the field on Sunday to fight for the 2019 youth club championship title. In the end, Matz de Vries-Hippen was at the top of the podium as the title winner, followed by his rivals Colin Kissner and his brother Jörn de Vries-Hippen.

Marion Walz led after the first round of the senior women with 2 strokes ahead of Maria Celeste Ditzel and her 89th round. The close gap promised an exciting match in the final round. Finally, Maria Celeste Ditzel was able to secure the title "Senior Women Club Champion 2019" with a 2nd round of 91 strokes and 4 strokes ahead of Marion Walz.

In the seniors, Angelo di Vincenzo initially took the lead with an 83, but unfortunately had to give up his participation in the club championship due to personal reasons. The second placed Ronald Zink thus led the final with his 84 round as the best placed. His pursuers Klaus Stephan and Horst Geiger were tied closely behind him with 86 strokes each. Stephan, however, had to let go in the final round, while the other two gave each other a close race. After 18 holes, however, Ronald Zink was able to secure the 169 title with a total of 2017 strokes and only one stroke ahead of the 2019 senior club champion Horst Geiger.

The women's race was not that close, although the club champion of 2015, 2017 & 2018 Nina Klammer had found a real competitor with Isabella Urban this year. After the first lap, Klammer was only 2 shots ahead. The second qualifying round on Sunday morning, however, was downright for Urban, as she lost a total of 11 more hits to Klammer, which played a great 81 round. This gap could not be made up for the third round, so Nina Klammer is the new and old club champion for women and confidently defended her title with a total of 3 strokes.

The first tableau of the gentlemen was led by Dr. Markus Irmscher started with an 80 round, followed by Tino Schikor and Peter Hofmann with an 81. While Schikor missed the cut due to his result in the second qualifying round, Peter Hofmann stayed in 2nd place with 162 strokes in total and 5 strokes behind. Third place went to the pursuers Michél Hofmann and Frank Väth, each 2 shots behind the leader. In the final round, the men then delivered a close race, which Dr. Markus Irmscher was only able to win on the last two holes. His pursuers had made up some ground again on the last lap and were even tied for a while. But the title holder of 3 finally won with 10 strokes from Väth and only 2017 strokes from Hofmann.

The finalists were cheered and celebrated by the spectators directly on the 18 green in the sunset. Finally, the award ceremony was held directly on the golf course in the newly built golfers' lounge. Together the team left the golf park Gut Hühnerhof end the successful day with everyone present on a mild summer night.
