With the help of the “Sandfiller” machine, we have completely mechanically processed our two places in the past few weeks. The machine mills 3mm wide slots in the green and automatically fills them with sand. As a result, the air and the water penetrate the soil better again, which promotes root growth. We used a total of 70 tons of sand!
Our greens & tees are now ready for the upcoming season ??

Last Sunday the season opening tournament of our golf park took place on the 18-hole course. Already on Saturday it became clear that the sun would not be loyal to us this weekend, so the participants were all the happier on Sunday morning when they showed up for at least a few hours, even if the temperatures weren't due to the icy north wind once in the double-digit range.
After a short address by Michael Hecker and Anton Mulijon, the players distributed themselves to the respective holes and at 11.00 a.m. the individual, which was effective as a rule, began with a cannon start.
After playing 18 holes, everyone arrived at the clubhouse rather frozen and was warmly welcomed with a welcome drink. The kitchen team at the Heckers restaurant had already heated up the grills properly, so that the buffet could be opened after a brief address by Michael Hecker. Finally, all those present toasted his recently born son and enjoyed it afterwards. The award ceremony followed with the great prizes from JOKA!
The winners were particularly pleased with the personalized (fleece) jackets and polo shirts. Joka also sponsored toiletry bags, balls and vouchers for the Germany final as additional prizes.
Nina Klammer secured the women's gross victory with 25 points. Frank Oeser led the men with 24 points. In the net rating there were a total of 3 classes with 3 placements each. In the first net class, Niels Heyer won with 32 points, followed by Werner Oschütz with equal points and Christian Klammer with 31 points. In the second net class, Marian Motor won with 37 points. Johannes von Liel came second with 32 points. Third place went to Christian Mommsen with 29 points. Andreas Klinder led the third net class with an insane 53 points, followed by Dai Sakaguchi with a great 43 points and Marco Spindler with 40 points.
After the award ceremony, the freshly baked triple dad Michael distributed another round of drinks and let the evening end with everyone present with nice conversations and a good atmosphere.
On March 30th, the men's teams' golfing took place at 20 degrees, bright sunshine and a great atmosphere.
In order to give the team-internal tournament, which is not a standard, an appropriate sporting note, for the first time the competition from Captain Dr. Markus Irmscher donated "Hühnerhof-Männer-Wander Trophy “played. When organizing the tournament with the game mode "stroke play result minus master handicap", Dr. Markus Irmscher also supported by his co-captain Markus Schweikart. Despite the early season and with the prospect of winning the trophy, the results were very good.
In the field of 26 participants, the experienced “Senior Clubmaster 2017” Horst Geiger was able to keep the younger players at a clear distance with 72 strokes. Frank Oeser (2), Michael L. (5), Niels Heyer (74), Christian Klammer (75) and Michél Hofmann (75) followed in places 75-76. The unlucky ones were also thought of: The King of Lost Balls received an appropriate consolation prize. Further events of the "Hühnerhof-Männer-Wander Trophy "are already planned.

On April 06th, the women started the season together with a lot of fun and new momentum.
Unlike the men, both the players of the two women's teams and our “leisure golfers” first met on the driving range. Almuth Kuck, who resigned her long-term office of ladies captain last year, had once again agreed to take over the organization for the purpose of Angolfing. A small fun tournament was also played, which was played in the "Six-Six-Six" mode - a combination of three game modes with a change after every 3 holes.
After the round had been played, the ladies first met on the gravel terrace of the clubhouse, where Brigitte Franz made her debut as the new ladies captain. The award ceremony followed with numerous prizes in the Heckers restaurant. The successful start to the season was celebrated with a cozy get-together.
The last few weeks our greenkeepers have been hardworking and have prepared our courses so that both our 18-hole and 9-hole courses can now be played on summer greens and tees.
In addition, our members and guests can now again train hard on the short game and practice facilities. We look forward to a great season! ⛳️?
Last Saturday we all have members of our golf park Gut Hühnerhof invited to this year's general meeting.
We reported on the highlights of the past season and gave an outlook on the coming one, which will again be peppered with great events. We are really looking forward to it!?
Until then, the focus is now primarily on preparing the space, which is currently about compensating for the consequences of the hot summer.? We are on one good path and can look forward to ideal conditions soon.
