The club championships of our golf park took place last weekend Gut Hühnerhof instead of. The youngsters completed 18 holes, the seniors 36 holes and the women and men even 54 holes!

After the first qualifying rounds on Saturday, the youngsters took to the field on Sunday to fight for the 2019 youth club championship title. In the end, Matz de Vries-Hippen was at the top of the podium as the title winner, followed by his rivals Colin Kissner and his brother Jörn de Vries-Hippen.

Marion Walz led after the first round of the senior women with 2 strokes ahead of Maria Celeste Ditzel and her 89th round. The close gap promised an exciting match in the final round. Finally, Maria Celeste Ditzel was able to secure the title "Senior Women Club Champion 2019" with a 2nd round of 91 strokes and 4 strokes ahead of Marion Walz.

In the seniors, Angelo di Vincenzo initially took the lead with an 83, but unfortunately had to give up his participation in the club championship due to personal reasons. The second placed Ronald Zink thus led the final with his 84 round as the best placed. His pursuers Klaus Stephan and Horst Geiger were tied closely behind him with 86 strokes each. Stephan, however, had to let go in the final round, while the other two gave each other a close race. After 18 holes, however, Ronald Zink was able to secure the 169 title with a total of 2017 strokes and only one stroke ahead of the 2019 senior club champion Horst Geiger.

The women's race was not that close, although the club champion of 2015, 2017 & 2018 Nina Klammer had found a real competitor with Isabella Urban this year. After the first lap, Klammer was only 2 shots ahead. The second qualifying round on Sunday morning, however, was downright for Urban, as she lost a total of 11 more hits to Klammer, which played a great 81 round. This gap could not be made up for the third round, so Nina Klammer is the new and old club champion for women and confidently defended her title with a total of 3 strokes.

The first tableau of the gentlemen was led by Dr. Markus Irmscher started with an 80 round, followed by Tino Schikor and Peter Hofmann with an 81. While Schikor missed the cut due to his result in the second qualifying round, Peter Hofmann stayed in 2nd place with 162 strokes in total and 5 strokes behind. Third place went to the pursuers Michél Hofmann and Frank Väth, each 2 shots behind the leader. In the final round, the men then delivered a close race, which Dr. Markus Irmscher was only able to win on the last two holes. His pursuers had made up some ground again on the last lap and were even tied for a while. But the title holder of 3 finally won with 10 strokes from Väth and only 2017 strokes from Hofmann.

The finalists were cheered and celebrated by the spectators directly on the 18 green in the sunset. Finally, the award ceremony was held directly on the golf course in the newly built golfers' lounge. Together the team left the golf park Gut Hühnerhof end the successful day with everyone present on a mild summer night.
